On the side of the Civil War monument at the Hackensack Cemetery in Hackensack, there is a grave plot where men who served during the Civil War and
Spanish American War are buried.

This is what is written on Anthony C. Muller’s grave, which confirms his service during the Spanish American War. 

Anthony C. Muller passed away on September 16, 1962. I would have been 7 years old and going into the second grade at Fairmount School at the time.
